Scientists from TU Dresden, in cooperation with researchers at Seoul National University (SNU) and Korea University (KU), demonstrated the role of the re-use of photons (known as ‘photon recycling’) and light scattering effects in perovskite solar cells, providing a pathway towards high-efficiency solar energy conversion. The study has been published in the renowned journal ‘Science Advances’.

Congratulations to Prof. Xinliang Feng (cfaed Chair for Molecular Functional Materials)! Prof. Feng, who is also a director at the Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics in Halle, is among the 22 new members of acatech – Deutsche Akademie der Technikwissenschaften. At this year's meeting on October 19, 2021, the members of acatech elected 22 scientists to its ranks. The election is both an honor for their scientific achievements and an honorary mandate: The academy, which is funded by the German federal and state governments, advises policymakers and society on technology-related issues.
